Gardner-Dickinson celebrated the opening of the 2018-19 school year on Sept. 4 during the PTA Back-to-School Carnival.
“This free community event was sponsored by the PTA who will be doing similar events throughout the year in an effort to celebrate families and their partnership with our district. Many thanks to the teachers who volunteered their time to run the events, the girl scouts who painted faces and the many parents who helped out in some way under the leadership of Jennifer Hallenbeck who did the lion’s share of work for this event. It was a great success with over 50 staff and 400 family members in attendance. Thank you everyone!” said Principal Mary Yodis.
